Hello Bricksies,
I have trouble understanding the part if I can just sell my collection to fellow
Bricksies from the European Union or that I am correctly limited to only sell
from and in the Netherlands or that my store/account is flagged wrongly?
let me put out some info first:
- Since 10 days ago properly registered as a seller on bricklink, see my store;
https://store.bricklink.com/HiveBricks&utm_content=globalnav#/shop
I believe it is set to only sell in the Netherlands and my store is currently
open.
I have zero sales yet, cannot enable selling in Europe in settings (I believe
I should be able because I do not have to register as OSS or with the Chamber
of commerce yet because I have not met the €10.000 Threshold yet)
https://www.bricklink.com/help.asp?helpID=2550#:~:text=What%20is%20distance%20selling%3F,rate%20of%20the%20buyer's%20country.
”What is distance selling?
European Union (EU) Marketplace rules effective July 1, 2021 require that any
seller with more than €10,000 (euro) worth of distance sale of goods must register
with their local tax authorities and charge the Value Added Tax (VAT) rate of
the buyer’s country”
- I want to be able to sell in certain EU countries
- My question is as follow, Should I register with my Chamber of commerce and
get a VAT number / OSS or should I contact Bricklink to change/fix my settings?

Any feedback is appreciated, thx for reading Bricksies

Regards Rene/Hivebricks

Hello Rene,

In my opinion you are not limited at all to only selling in the Netherlands.

You just have to add shipping methods for the countries that you want to sell
to. You can do it here : https://www.bricklink.com/v2/mystore/shipping.page

Once you reach a total of 10.000 euro sales/year within the EU (counting only
the part outside the Netherlands), you have to start paying VAT to the according
countries. So don't bother for now, justy keep it in mind.

If you plan to export outside the EU, for certain countries taxes may be collected
via BrickLink.

Best regards
Kris - Autour des Briques

Below is a image of my store settings:

The distance selling setting should only be enabled if you sell over € 10000
per year (or if you chose to register for OSS). This setting will charge buyers
VAT based on the buyer's country's VAT percentage. If the setting is
disabled buyers will be charged the VAT percentage of the seller's country
(if you have VAT enabled) or no VAT (if you have VAT disabled).

So in your situation you should disable distance selling in your store settings
(and make sure that shipping methods are set up for EU countries if you have
not already done that).
