At first I did throw it into the bin deemed nothing to do with Lego.
Then I saw the Lego logo on the back and made me curious. I thought of a road
sign or support stand. But could not find it.
Anyone any idea what part this is?

Looks like the broken base for a road sign from the 1970s.
