| Hi there!
I recently made a purchase from a store here (Kuboteka) that is registered in
Lithuania, but their terms state that all of their stock is held in Russia.
I see Bricklink's terms of service for sellers part 1.2.8 stats:
Exact quantity: The quantity of the item that you are listing for sale must not
be greater than the quantity you have physical possession of in the country
in which your BrickLink store is registered. Drop shipping is not permitted.
The only exception to this is a custom fan magazine that has to be pre-ordered
and the Buyer is made aware of this in the item description
Is this a special case that Bricklink has set up for Kuboteka? If that's
the case, the wording of the terms should probably change.

| No, it is not allowed. It does make me wonder though, if the seller is in Lithuania,
and he claims his stock is in Russia, is it maybe in that tiny little bit of
Russia between Lithuania and Poland, and does that ad another level of difficulty
during the war?

He states Moscow, not Kaliningrad. This lines up with the 4+ weeks it takes to
even ship.
I do wonder how all the importing is done between countries? Surely that has
to eat away at margins if proper customs are paid!

I made a purchase from this store back in November of 2020 and this was their
policy back then as well. I think there are a few store that are following the
same or similar workflow. When I made my purchase though, this was not their
store name and if you search the forum, the chats only go back to June 2022.
I went an tried to find the old name, but it's not in BL history and the
Paypal transaction doesn't have their info. There were many conversation
about this in the past about their shipping policies, but no actions taken.

It is definitely against Bricklink policy for them to sell that way. It may be
illegal for an American or Canadian to knowingly buy from a Russian store also.

Well, I checked and it looks like American sanctions don’t limit Americans buying
from Russians.

I do hope Bricklink doesn't get into any legal trouble over this... International
sanctions aren't something I would want to play with! Leave it to James Bond

It's also a bit misleading to list your store in a separate country entirely...
Let's be honest, at least half of all buyers don't read terms haha

I do recall that- they were forced to change how they operate (i.e., not having
parts stored overseas).

| Is it allowed? Yes. Admins know about it (see past threads about this store)
and don't close them down even though they drop ship from themselves from
Russia. Therefore, it must be allowed even though the public statement is that
they don't allow Russian stores to sell here.
