it appears so . this makes me rather angry. It is as if I paid $20 for dark
blue legs.

What makes you think that it’s not real?
If the legs and torso have the LEGO mark, the chances that the head is real is
high.
Not all real parts have the LEGO logo.
Try looking for a small logo, part number or a “C” inside the head.

here's a photo of the inside of the head. The seller said the body was fake
(it was) but the rest was real. I don't see any marks inside of the head.

Find the minifig, then look at the parts and zoom in on the screen. Looks like
it checks out. If someone were going to counterfeit something, I would assume
they would go after a valuable part with an established sales history.

I'm not sure though. Bricklink's photo is not well lit and does not show
the inside of the neck. Also in all of the photos the hair looks like a much
darker orange. OHIO!!
