And that is without the unsold out sets in the calculation?
200mil+ in a few days is insane..

1. It’s twenty millions, not two hundreds.
2. TLG’s revenue is around $10 billions per year (DKK 64.6 billions in 2022).
That’s $27 millions a day. So, with BDP, they are making about a day’s sale
in a day.
Best case: if buying from BDP is just a plus and not a move,— that is, if all
the people who are buying BDP sets aren’t choosing between buying BDP and buying
something else from LEGO—, as there’s 3 BDP Series per year, that will make 3
days more revenue per year, so +0.82%.

Yep
| That will be a hefty tax bill too.
|
IIUC, it should just be taxed as income here, as a salary even, though a one-time,
hefty salary
Nice problems to have

Please contact LEGO Consumer and Shopper Engagement (CSE) for details about your

We actually boosted our server configuration WAY past what we ever thought we
would need. The site was flying fast yesterday with all that bandwidth.
But the demand for these sets is super high and it looks like they will be mostly
gone by the end of the morning. A good problem to have, but a problem nonetheless.

separate payment methods and separate addresses for each 2 copies

Well, the message is fixed: it’s still there

from wandering; to rest.” – https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/fix

I just got a message from LEGO telling me my order was confirmed. And then another
that the items were 'Out of Stock'.
Are we going to get one of these every few weeks again like last time??
~Jen
|
The "program" page is showing that the fortress is about half gone, but
others all less than that so it shouldn't be reporting out of stock yet.
|
Sorry for the misunderstanding. The sets are not actually out of stock. It's
just that the pre-orders on LEGO.com seem to automatically trigger the out of
stock default message. It basically says we've got your order, we don't
have your sets, we won't charge you until they ship, etc. etc.
It's just funny because a pre-order is not out of stock it's just not
IN stock yet. Also, for the last round of sets, we got these messages the entire
waiting period. I would've thought they might fix the message for this round.
~Jen
|
Yeah, there is a disclaimer about preorders in the email.

Things are moving very fast this time too. If you want to get one of these sets,
you need to place the order now.

Memory must be failing me, sorry!
If these are all legit orders then congrats to your marketing team!

The direct links have been posted on a number of fan sites. I imagine many orders
are going direct rather than through the BL page.
