| | I'm a Candy Pixie... but I'm also a Lego Pixie!
Lets see. I started with Legos when I was 5, before our sweet Minifigures were born. I had a nice little collection before getting my first kit 493 "Space Command Center" 1979. Then I was addicted! I played all the way up to high school as a great way to manage stress. Unfortunately I lost my whole collection when I ran away from home. I got back into Lego with the end of the “Harry Potter” kits, being a super-mega “Harry Potter” Universe fan BUT only 3 kits were on retail by the time I found out about them. Since finding Brick Link, I've been collecting all the HP kits and all kinds of bricks and such for different original ideas and projects. Since getting back in, I've collected a few “Star Wars” kits, however rare and extremely fun... some city kits, “Lego Movie” gear. I missed a whole lot in the Lego universe between A and B and love learning the history behind the bricks. I also love making friends because of the bricks. Brick Link has opened a whole new world to me... a world I was part of and had no idea it really existed at the same time. :-)
Even after so long with being connected to BL, it still amazes me how Legos cover the Earth and we can make friends with people anyplace because of something in common. It also amazes me all these little side business I can find that claim to make custom Minifigures... however I've never found anyone who can over the service at reasonable prices. If you know anyone, please let me know!
I do a lot of writing, hoping to be published... my creative side is sure to be in thanks to Lego and countless hours building from bricks. One of my little dreams is to have a more formal home office to write in, covered in Lego creations. That, and to be able to collect higher end kits I so cant afford now. hehe
